Meet Mrs. Cohn

My name is Rhianna Cohn and I will be teaching 1st grade at Peiffer this year! This will be my fourth year in Jeffco. I started as a 6th grade teacher, then taught 1st grade for the Jeffco Remote Learning Program last year. I am so excited to be at Peiffer this year. 

I love teaching 1st grade because I love watching students go from recognizing letters to becoming fluent readers. 

In my free time, I love to move my body! I have found a new passion for running. I love to dance, bike, and lift weights as well! My family and friends are very important to me. I love to spend as much time as possible with my family.

I have been married to my husband for two years now and we have two sweet puppies together.

Meet Mrs. Rodgers
My name is Tanya Rodgers. I am a Colorado native. I love living here and enjoy the natural beauty of our state. I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was 5 years old, and I never changed my mind. I have been at Peiffer for a long time! I student taught here in 1990, and I am still here, so you can do the math if you'd like to. I have taught all grades from Kindergarten through 4th grade. I love having this perspective as I teach my students. I know where they've been, and I understand where they are going. I love calling Peiffer and this special community my home. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the Metropolitan State University and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 32 years. We have an adult son, who is a former Peiffer Panther. He is working to become a cyber security specialist.  I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and working with technology. I am excited for the 2020-2021 school year! Thanks for sharing your precious little ones with me. I know we will have a great year.
